1. It is submitted on behalf of the petitioner that during the pendency of this application, the accused persons have been arrested.

2. In view thereof, this application for anticipatory bail has become infructuous and stands rejected.

The Superintendent of Police, Birbhum, is directed to enquire for the delay in taking steps against the accused persons. The case was registered in the year 2021 and they have been arrested on 14th June, 2024 only after this Court passed an order on 11th June, 2024 directing the State to file a status report.

4. Appropriate disciplinary proceeding should be initiated against the officer responsible for the delay after a proper enquiry. 5.

This order shall be immediately communicated to the Superintendent of Police, Birbhum for information and compliance. 6.

The report filed in Court shall be kept with the record. (Soumen Sen, J.)
