1. This is an application under Article 227 of the Court : 08 Item : 22 Matter : CO Status : ED Bench ID : 265762 Transcriber : NANDY Constitution of India at the behest of the plaintiffs/ petitioners seeking direction upon the Trial Court to dispose of an application for temporary injunction.,

2. Astonishingly, the application for temporary injunction which was filed way back in the year 2012 has not been disposed of as yet. The defendant nos. 1 & 5 have entered appearance but thereafter they did not participate in the proceeding.

3. It is inconceivable that an application for temporary injunction remain pending for more than a decade. The purpose of the temporary injunction would be frustrated if the same is kept pending for such a long time.

4. I, therefore, request the learned Judge in the Trial Court to pre-pone the date for hearing of the application of temporary injunction and fix the same within a fortnight from the date of communication of this order.

5. The application for temporary injunction shall be disposed of within a fortnight therefrom by recording reasons in accordance with law.

6. With these observations, CO 1970 of 2024 is disposed of.
