It is submitted on behalf of the petitioners that the petitioners have been deprived of actual and bona fide marks, which have ultimately prejudiced them in the selection and appointment as Motor Vehicle Inspectors (Non-Technical).

On behalf of the respondent no. 2 it is submitted that subsequent to the filing of the writ petition and in view of the expert opinion the petitioners are entitled to a change of their marks insofar as the subject category is concerned.

In view of the stand taken by the respondent authorities, no further order need be passed in this writ petition.

Accordingly, W.P.A. No. 13869 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the respondent authorities to act in terms of their own expert opinion report. The aforesaid exercise should be completed within a period of twelve weeks from the date of this order in accordance with law.

There shall be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostate certified copy of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance of necessary formalities.
