Roy ...... for the Kalyani University There is a considerable delay on the part of the University to respond to the representation made by the petitioner on 5th January, 2021.

Learned counsel appearing for the University is unable to shed any light in this regard. The petitioner seeks affiliation to the University as a part of the relevant UGC Guidelines, while learned counsel appearing for the respondent submits that affiliation is not possible under the said Guidelines.

Since the University has admittedly not dealt with the representation made by petitioner, the University being the respondent No. 2 or the

appropriate Officer of the University is directed to dispose of the representation made by the petitioner on 5th January, 2021 within a period of four weeks from date after giving a hearing to all concerned parties including the petitioners.

A copy of the reasoned order shall be made available to the petitioners within a week after such order is passed.

WPA 14576 of 2021 is disposed of.

The University shall take into account any earlier compliance made by the petitioner in terms of an earlier communication of the University.
