The petitioner claims to be the wife of one Gouranga Chandra Roy who was a primary school teacher. The teacher expired while in service on 24th January, 1993. The petitioner claims family pension. The District Inspector of Schools (Primary Education) Nadia is directed to take a decision on the prayer of the petitioner seeking family pension in accordance with law after giving reasonable opportunity of hearing to all the necessary parties at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order. A reasoned order shall be passed and communicated to the parties immediately thereafter.

If the petitioner is found to be entitled to family pension, then necessary consequential steps shall be

taken by the District Inspector of Schools (Primary Education) Nadia as expeditiously as possible. Instruction forwarded by the District Inspector of Schools (Primary Education) Nadia dated 01.07.2024 be retained with the records.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
