Learned advocate appearing for the petitioners is directed to serve a copy of this revisional application upon Mr. Arijit Ganguly, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears for the State. His appointment may be regularised by the concerned authorities.

Last of the ordersheet reflects that the investigating agency on conclusion of investigation of Chinsurah Police Station Case No. 180 of 2020 dated 22.06.2020 filed chargesheet before the jurisdictional court and the learned jurisdictional court was pleased to transfer the same to the court of the learned Judicial Magistrate, 3rd Court, Hooghly who is presently in seisin of the mater.

Learned advocate appearing for the accused/petitioners submits that the petitioners are being unnecessarily harassed and trial of the case may be expedited.

As charge has not been framed, as is revealed from the enclosures of this revisional application, I direct the learned Judicial Magistrate, 3rd Court, Hooghly to immediately frame charges against the accused on the next date so fixed or within a week thereafter. Immediately after the framing of

charge, the learned trial court would at least once in a three months fix date for evidence in respect of one of the witnesses so that trial of the case can be taken to its logical conclusion within a reasonable period of time. No unnecessary adjournment should be granted to either of the parties and the learned public prosecutor conducting the case would produce the materials, documents and exhibits on the date so fixed.

With the aforesaid observations, the revisional application being CRR 2149 of 2023 is disposed of. Pending connected application, if any, is consequently disposed of.

All concerned parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
