Perused the report.

It appears that the CESC authorities are willing to grant supply to the petitioner, provided assistance of the police is available. In view of agitations by unidentified persons, such prayer is made. The fact that the petitioner is in possession and is running a tailoring shop from the premises, is admitted by the CESC Ltd. An occupier is entitled to electricity. Nobody can stay in the dark.

Thus, the CESC Ltd. shall supply connection to the petitioner, within two months from the date of compliance of all necessary formalities. The police authorities shall render all assistance at the cost of the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. There shall be no order as to costs.

Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
