He is presently working as "Clerk" (Grade-I) under the Howrah Municipal Corporation. The petitioner submits that despite his seniority in service, he receives a lower salary compared to respondent no.9.

A representation for his pay protection has been made before the Corporation by a letter dated October 28, 2022.

It is the grievance of the petitioner that the said representation has not yet been considered.

The Corporation submits that the representation of the petitioner shall be considered in accordance with law.

In that view of the matter, I dispose of this writ petition with a direction upon the Corporation to consider the representation appearing at page 149 of the writ petition within a period of one month from the date of communication of this order.

Accordingly, WPA 13903 of 2023 is disposed of. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the learned advocates for the parties on usual undertakings.
