It is submitted by learned counsel for the private parties that a settlement has been arrived at between the said parties regarding the WBSEDCL supplying electric connection to the petitioner.

In any event, it appears from Annexure-P8, at page-44 of the writ petition, that the only ground on which such connection was refused to the petitioner was the objection raised by one Swati Bandyapadhay,

the private respondent no.4 in the present writ petition. Since the private respondents and the petitioner have reached a settlement and have filed a supplementary affidavit to that effect in court, there cannot be any further impediment in giving electric connection to the petitioner.

Accordingly, WPA No.14743 of 2021 is disposed of by directing the respondent-authorities to give electric connection to the petitioner as per the petitioner's application, by installing the requisite transformer in terms of the settlement arrived at between the parties, subject to compliance of all requisite formalities, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within three weeks from date.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
