The petitioners allege inaction of the Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Cooperation Directorate, Purba Bardhaman-I Range. It is the contention of the petitioners that although by a letter dated October 29, 2021 the Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies (ST Cr.), Cooperative Directorate (HQ), Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Cooperation Directorate, Purba Bardhaman-I Range, had been requested to file a detailed report on the steps taken in order to address the grievances
of the petitioners in order to safeguard the interest of the members of the society, no such report has yet been filed. The writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Cooperation Directorate, Purba Bardhaman-I Range to file a detailed report as per the direction of the Additional Registrar of Cooperative Societies (ST Cr.), Cooperative Directorate (HQ), if not already filed, within a period of four weeks from the date of communication of this order.
The allegations and counter-allegations are not gone into.
There will be no order as to costs.
All parties are to act on the basis of the server copy of this order.
