Mr. Rajdeep Majumder, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody for more than 200 days and charge-sheet has already been submitted. Ms. Sharma, learned advocate, appears for the State and produces the case diary.
Learned advocate for the State draws the attention of this Court to the statement of the victim as also the medical report. I have perused both the documents.
Having regard to the materials appearing therein against the present petitioner, I am of the view that further detention of the petitioner is unwarranted. The prayer for bail of the petitioner is allowed.
Accordingly, the petitioner, namely, Narayan @
Satyanarayan Pal, is granted bail on condition that the petitioner shall furnish a bond of Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand) only with two sureties of like amount, one of whom must be local to the satisfaction of the learned ACJM, Tehatta, Nadia. While on bail, the petitioner shall stay outside the jurisdiction of Murutia Police Station for a period of six months from the date of his release and will be allowed to reside thereafter once the learned Special Court is satisfied regarding the conduct of the petitioner. The petitioner shall meet with the Officer-in-Charge of Murutia Police Station once a week until further orders and shall be allowed to enter into the jurisdiction of the said police station only for the purpose of meeting the Officer-in-Charge of concerned police station. The petitioner shall inform his present place of address/residence to the concerned Officer-in-Charge where he will be residing after his release.
CRM 6230 of 2021 is, thus, disposed of.
