Petitioner seeks anticipatory bail.

Learned Advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was a candidate of a political party in the last Assembly Election for the State. He was falsely implicated in the police case when he was not even at the place of occurrence. He submits that one of the co-accused was granted anticipatory bail. State is represented.

Learned Advocate appearing for the State draws the attention of the Court to the contents of the case diary. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and considering the fact that a co-accused was granted anticipatory bail by the coordinate Bench, we grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioner shall be released on bail upon furnishing a Bond of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of like amount each to the satisfaction of the Arresting Officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of

Criminal Procedure, 1973 and on further condition that he shall meet the Investigating Officer once in a month till the conclusion of the investigation and that he shall appear before the jurisdictional Court and pray for regular bail within four weeks from date.

The application for anticipatory bail being C.R.M. 6227 of 2021 is, thus, disposed of.
