For the State The petitioner approached this Court as the representation which was advanced on 15th May, 2024 to the Officer in charge, South Port Police Station was not acted upon. The petitioner complains that pursuant to Ekbalpore P.S. case no. 186/2024 he has been facing inconvenience and on 14th May, 2024 the accused along with his associates threatened the petitioner and also brandished deadly weapons. Thereafter he was also assaulted and had been admitted to SSKM hospital and was thereafter referred to Trauma Care Centre. Mr. Akash Dutta, learned advocate appearing for the State submits a report.

The report reflects series of cases have been filed against the accused person. In case the petitioner is aggrieved, the petitioner would approach the learned Magistrate in seisin of Ekbalpore police station case no. 186/2024. The learned Magistrate would ascertain regarding the genuinity of the allegations and if required

pass necessary directions under the Witness Protection Scheme, 2018.

With the above observations, the writ petition being WPA 15096 of 2024 is disposed of.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner.
