Kundu, ... for the State The petitioner seeks for an expeditious disposal of NDPS Case No. 115 of 2018 under Section 21(C) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, pending before the Additional Sessions Judge, 4th Court, Alipore, South 24 Parganas. It has been submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that out of eleven witnesses, two witnesses have been examined so far and the next date has been fixed on October 1, 2021.

It has been further submitted that the petitioner is in custody since December 3, 2018.

In view of the long detention of the petitioner in custody, this application is disposed of with a direction upon the Additional Sessions Judge, 4th Court, Alipore, South 24 Parganas, to make an endeavour to expedite the trial and conclude the same

as expeditiously as possible, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.

The revisional application being C.R.R. 1874 of 2021 is, thus, disposed of.
