1. In pursuance of the direction passed by this Court earlier on 07.05.2024, a report is submitted by the Officer-in-Charge, Regent Park Police Station on 11.06.2024 stating that the appellant Sakti Kumar Banerjee has expired on 18.07.2001 and a photocopy of certificate of death of the said appellant is tagged with the report.

2. As the sole appellant has already died so, the instant appeal stands abated against him.

3. The instant appeal be and the same is dismissed as abated.

4. The appeal being CRA 260 of 1999 stands disposed of.

5. Let a copy of this order along with the Trial Court Records be sent down to the Trial Court at once.
