1. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that in spite of best efforts, one local surety could not be arranged. However, in the meantime, the petitioner is able to arrange one local surety and accordingly, has prayed for extension of time to appear before the jurisdictional court.

2. We are satisfied with the explanation offered for not being able to surrender.

3. Accordingly, the time to appear before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kalyani, Nadia is extended for one week from date. 4.

The said direction is peremptory and we make it clear that the other condition of the said order shall remain unchanged.
