Heard the learned Advocates appearing for the parties. Petitioner renews his prayer for bail. He submits there is no direct evidence connecting him with the murder. It is also submitted he has been falsely implicated in the instant case. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor opposes the prayer for bail. He submits petitioner is the mastermind in the murder. He had supplied arms to the principal accused. He was seen by witnesses near the place of occurrence. He has criminal antecedents and had threatened witnesses. We have considered the materials on record. Petitioner is alleged to be the conspirator of the crime. Statements of witnesses show he was present near the place of occurrence. He has criminal antecedents and there are allegations that he threatened witnesses.

In view of the aforesaid materials on record and the antecedents of the petitioner which does not inspire confidence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is rejected.

However, trial court is requested to expedite the trial and conclude the same at an early date without granting unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties. (Ananya Bandyopadhyay,J.) (Joymalya Bagchi, J.)
