Petitioner complains that the petitioner has been subjected to torture at the hands of the son and the daughter-in-law who had been threatening, assaulting and harassing for transfer of residential property. To that effect, information was furnished to the Officer, Maniktala Police Station on or about 18th May, 2023.

As none appears on behalf of the State, Ms.

Amrita Tewari, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State, is directed to represent the State. Her appearance may be regularized by the concerned authorities.

I have considered the representation of the petitioner which is almost two years ago. If the petitioner is faced with similar inconveniences,

petitioner will file a fresh representation with the police authorities. Police authorities would take action in accordance with law in view of the family feud which is taking place as is submitted by the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. Petitioner would also be at liberty to approach the tribunal under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. Any direction so passed by the tribunal would be respected, obeyed and implemented by the police authorities.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 14030 of 2023 is disposed of.

Pending connected application being CAN 1 of 2023 is also disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
