1. Learned counsel for the State submits that the injured was assaulted with a brick on the vital part of the body i.e. forehead and head. The injury report has been shown to the Court. The chargesheet has been filed. However, the witness is yet to be examined.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner and the de facto complainant are cousin. This adds to the possibility of the witness being threatened or influenced.

3. Learned counsel for the State has informed that even there are allegations of the injured being threatened by the petitioner from the jail.

4. Thus, taking into account the gravity of the offence and the alleged conduct of the petitioner, the bail petition is dismissed. (Dinesh Kumar Sharma, J. )
