Pursuant to the order dated 16th February, 2026 and 25th February, 2026, a report in the form of an affidavit has been filed by the respondent no.8, which is taken on record.

From the aforesaid report, it would transpire that an amount of Rs.3,15,000/- is due and payable on account of net outstanding gratuity and a sum of Rs.2,22,115/- is due and payable to the petitioner on account of arrear pension as on 29th August, 2025. 3.

Having regard to the disclosure made and noting from the submissions made by the learned advocate for the petitioner that regular pension is being disbursed in favour of the petitioner, I direct the municipal authorities to make payment of the entire amount of gratuity along with a statutory interest at the rate of 10 per cent per

WPA 13855 of 2025 annum on the entire outstanding sum calculating from the date when the same became due i.e. on his retirement till such time the same is actually paid.

Insofar as arrear pension is concerned, the municipality is directed to disburse the same in favour of the petitioner along with interest at the rate of 6 per cent per annum.

The municipality is directed to make payment of the entire sum as directed within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order. 6.

Since, nothing survives in the writ petition the same is accordingly disposed of.
