We have considered the materials on record. Petitionerhusband tortured the victim-housewife. She took refuge at her parental home and committed suicide within one year of marriage. In view of gravity of the offence and the prima facie involvement of the petitioner therein, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner stands rejected.
