This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the wife praying for a direction upon the learned Additional District Judge, Fast Track 2nd Court, Barrackpore, North 24 Parganas to dispose of Matrimonial Suit No. 1584 of 2020 expeditiously.

Mr. Mondal, learned advocate appearing for the petitioner submits that the matrimonial suit is being adjourned from time to time on the prayer of the opposite party.

In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to issue notice upon the opposite party.

However, the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of this application along with this order upon the opposite party or upon the learned advocates representing him before the learned Trial Court. Record reveals that P.W.1 was cross-examined on 07.08.2023 and discharged on that day and September 21, 2023 was fixed for examination of

P.W.2. Thereafter, on December 6, 2023, April 24, 2024, June 18, 2024 and on March 10, 2025, the parties did not participate in the hearing on account of the Resolutions adopted by the local Bar Association. For such reason, the learned Judge of the Trial Court had no alternative but to fix repeated dates for examination of P.W.2.

C. O. No.2228 of 2025 stands disposed of with the hope and trust that the Matrimonial Suit No.1584 of 2020 shall be disposed of in accordance with law without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
