1. The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petitioner is standing on the same footing as the other coaccused persons who have been granted anticipatory bail in CRM (A) 1656 of 2024.

2. The learned Counsel for the State in opposing the prayer for anticipatory bail has referred to the statement of the wife of the complainant recorded under Section 164 of the Cr.P.C. and also the injury report and the previous order passed by this Bench in relation to the co-accused persons.

3. Considering the materials available in the case diary, our observation in the earlier order that the main allegation is against Sri Sushanta Mondal, we are not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is rejected.
