Pursuant to the rule issued by this Court on 22nd March, 2024 Ms. Upali Roy, the Director, Department of Mass Education Extension and Library Service is personally present before this Court.

It has been submitted by the learned advocate representing the applicant that the order dated 1st December, 2022 has been complied with upon making necessary payment.

This Court has made specific query to Mr.

Biswabrata Basu Mallick, learned advocate representing the alleged contemnor that how the statements were made in paragraph 3 of the affidavit-of-compliance wherefrom it appears that the alleged contemnor has forwarded the issue to the Finance Department for approval when there is an order passed by the coordinate Bench on 1st

December, 2022. On behalf of alleged contemnor the learned advocate has tendered unconditional apology and undertaking has also been tendered orally that such thing shall not recur in future. This Court has accepted the apology tendered on behalf of the alleged contemnor.

Accordingly, the contempt application stands disposed of and contempt rule stands discharged.

Personal appearance of the alleged contemnor stands dispensed with.

Urgent photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon usual undertakings.
