In view of the innocuous nature of the prayer made by the petitioner, further service on the respondents need not be directed in the opinion of this court.

Since the petitioner has made a representation on June 08, 2022, as annexed at page-30 of the writ petition, praying for removal of alleged unauthorized and illegal construction over a Government land, it would suffice if the respondent-authorities are directed to decide the same expeditiously.

Accordingly, WPA No. 14267 of 2022 is disposed of by directing the respondent no.2 to consider the representation in terms of Annexure-P/2 at page-30 of the writ petition, upon giving an opportunity of

hearing to both the parties, in accordance with law and decide on the same as expeditiously as possible, preferably within eight weeks from the date of communication of this order to the respondent no.2. It is made clear that the merits of the allegations made in the representation have not been gone into by this court and it will be open to the respondent no.2, that is, the District Magistrate and Collector, Purba Medinipur to decide the same independently in accordance with law without being influenced in any manner by any of the observations made herein.

There will be no order as to costs.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
