The present writ application has been filed since the Tribunal did not pass any interim order in respect of the recruitment process challenged by the petitioner before the Tribunal. When the matter was last taken up, the State counsel was requested to obtain instructions regarding the fate of the advertisement dated 16.10.2023 forming the subject-matter of the present proceeding. The undisputed position that emerges is that a final select list has still not been published, however, the entire recruitment process prior thereto has already been completed.

In view of such development during pendency of the present writ proceeding, the prayer as regards the

refusal to grant any interim order by the Tribunal, in our opinion, is infructuous. Since final select list has still not been published, we refrain from making any comment with respect thereof.

Leave is granted to the petitioner to take appropriate steps as may be required.

We are informed that on the last occasion when the matter was taken up before the Tribunal, a direction was given to the State to file an affidavit and the matter has been for consideration in the third week of March. In presence of the learned counsel for the State, we observe that it is expected that appropriate steps will be taken so as to ensure expeditious consideration of the matter pending before the learned Tribunal. With the above observation WP.ST 123 of 2024 is disposed of.
