Mr. Allen Felix ...for the petitioners Mr. Dipanjan Datta, Mr. Soumen Chatterjee ...for the State respondents The petitioners seek consideration of the representation filed before the respondent authorities on 12th April, 2024. The petitioners pray for a direction upon the police for granting protection for permitting them to catch the fish in the subject pond which is recorded in their names.

It appears that there are seven private respondents impleaded in the instant writ petition. The allegation is that the private respondents are restraining the petitioners from catching the fish.

Without entering into the merits of the claim of the petitioners as it appears that a representation is pending consideration before the Officer-in-Charge, Bhatar Police Station, accordingly, the instant writ

petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no.7, the Officer-in-Charge, Bhatar Police Station to consider the prayer of the petitioners as made in the representation dated 12th April, 2024 in accordance with law and take necessary consequential steps in the event the allegation of the petitioners is found to be proper.

Steps shall be taken in the matter at the earliest but positively within a period of seven (07) days from the date of communication of this order.

Learned advocate for the petitioners is directed to forward a copy of the representation dated 12th April, 2024 to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

Parties are directed to act on the basis of the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
