Learned lawyer for the State opposes prayer for bail and submits petitioner had absconded for a protracted period of time. We have considered materials on record. Statement of the victim lady shows she was forcibly ravished by the petitioner and his friend. Thereafter, petitioner had absconded. In view of the aforesaid incriminating materials and gravity of the offence, we are not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected.
