The matter is taken up on agreement of the parties. Learned counsel for the State is present.

Filing of affidavit is dispensed with; since exchange of affidavits are dispensed with, allegations contained in the writ petition shall not be deemed to be admitted". Learned counsel for the State submitted that direction may be passed to the bank for issue of duplicate passbook and do the needful in furtherance of the prayer of the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of upon the Respondent nos.2 and 3 considering the issue of duplicate passbook and also consideration of payment of amount as claimed to be deposited, in the writ petition.

It is expected that the final decision after consideration may be taken within 31st July, 2024.

Copy of this order may be communicated to the respondent nos.2 and 3 for doing the needful.
