1) Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioner is taken on record.

2) Petitioner is one of the teachers in Bilsara Rabindranath High School (HS), Hooghly (for short, "said school") who has come up with the writ petition questioning election procedure resorted to by the said school authority for reconstituting the Managing Committee.

Election for teachers' representatives on the Managing Committee of said school was held on 28th April, 2025 where petitioner contested along with five other candidates. From election result

which is at page 18 of the writ petition it transpires that petitioner received six votes whereas three other candidates obtained more votes than the petitioner, as a result whereof petitioner was not elected. In terms of votes received by the respective candidates petitioner ranked fourth. As per norms there shall be three teachers'

representatives on the Managing Committee of a Government sponsored institution. .

3) A case is attempted to be made out in this writ petition that while permitting Prasanta Kumar and Sudarsan Mondal who received same number of votes i.e. 11 (eleven) to be teachers' representatives on the Managing Committee appropriate procedure was not followed. Fact remains, both Prasanta Kumar and Sudarsan Mondal received eleven votes each and petitioner received six votes. Therefore, there is no possibility so far petitioner is concerned to get chance to be elected as teachers' representative and to function as one of the members of the Managing Committee of said school.

4) Hence, no relief can be granted to the petitioner and writ petition stands dismissed.

5) There shall be no order as to costs.

6) Urgent Photostat certified copy of this order if applied for be given to the parties on usual undertaking.
