The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher of Sreebora Girls' High School, Ghatal, Paschim Medinapore. The application of the petitioner for general transfer is pending consideration before the Commissioner of School Education, Government of West Bengal, the respondent no. 2 herein, The petitioner is praying disposal of the said representation.

None appears on behalf of the petitioner on call. In compliance with the direction of this Court, the District Inspector of Schools (S.E.), Paschim Medinipur, the respondent no.6 herein, had filed a report wherein it has been stated that the petitioner since has not completed five years of her service is not entitled to general transfer under the relevant Rules.

Be that as it may, in course of hearing, an incidental issue regarding the dilapidated condition of the school building and the Girl's Hostel of the school had cropped up, as such this Court had directed the respondent no. 6 to file reports on the said issues.

The reports were filed disclosing need of immediate repair/renovation work of the school building, its Girl's

hostel and particularly, construction of boundary wall of the said Hostel.

This Court, to improve the condition of the school building and the Girl's Hostel, had passed direction upon the concerned authorities to take remedial measures. Mr. Tripathy, learned advocate for the State, files the further report of the respondent no. 6 dated April 09, 2024, let it be kept with the record.

It appears from the said report that the concerned authorities have sanctioned a fund of Rs. 15,42,663/- (Rupees Fifteen Lakhs Forty Two Thousand Six Hundred and Sixty Three only) to execute the necessary renovation/repair works of the said structures and thereupon, the renovation/repair works of the said structures has started, in fact, the construction of the boundary wall in three sides of the Girls' Hostel is complete however the construction of the Guard Wall of the existing pond adjacent to the school building is in halt due to some technical issue.

Mr. Tripathy assures this Court that rest of the works shall be completed soon.

In view of the aforementioned development, the writ petition need not be kept pending, as such WPA 14336 of 2022 is disposed of without any order as to costs. Parties to act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of the Court. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance of all requisite formalities.
