The writ petition was filed seeking payment of the balance dues of the petitioner. During pendency of the writ petition, the dues of the petitioner have been cleared.

The petitioner prays for interest on account of the delayed payment.

The petitioner is granted liberty to approach the Executive Officer of the Panchayat Samity seeking payment of interest on account of delayed payment of his dues.

In the event such a representation is made, the same shall be considered and disposed of by the Executive Officer of the Panchayat Samity in accordance with law at the earliest but positively within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of the application.

If the authority is of the opinion that the petitioner would be entitled to any further payment on account of interest, the same shall be released in favour of the petitioner without any further delay.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
