Supplementary affidavit filed on behalf of the petitioners is taken on record.

This writ petition is filed seeking direction upon the respondent no.5 to renew the licence of the petitioners for running the cattle hut at Mouza Purandarpur, Plot Nos.1193, 1171 and 1199.

The petitioners contend that they are running their cattle hut since 2024. The petitioners applied for renewal of their licence on 17th March, 2025 and necessary renewal fee of Rs.7,000/- has already been deposited before the concerned authority. The said licence has not been renewed for the period as prayed for. The aspect of non-renewal of licence was brought to the notice of the Executive Officer, Suri-II Panchyat Samity vide letter dated 13th June, 2025. However, no steps have been taken. Hence, this writ petition. Ms. Malabika Saha, learned Advocate for the petitioners submits that the licence has been renewed

till 30th September, 2025 instead of 31st March, 2026. She seeks for direction upon the respondent no.5, the BDO/Executive Officer, Panchayat Samiti, Suri-II, Birbhum to renew licence in favour of the petitioners till 31st March, 2026.

State is unrepresented.

It is found that the petitioners applied for renewal of their licence on 17th March, 2025 upon deposit of renewal fees of Rs.7,000/-. The document annexed to the supplementary affidavit shows that the licence has been renewed till 30th September, 2025. Considering the above, the Executive Officer, Panchayat Samity, Suri-II, respondent no.5 is directed to renew the licence of the petitioners till 31st March, 2026 within a period of two weeks from the date of communication of this order.

Learned advocate for the petitioners is directed to communicate this order to respondent no.5, Executive Officer, Panchayat Samity, Suri-II, for necessary compliance.

With the aforesaid direction, this writ petition being WPA 14124 of 2025 stands disposed of.

Since no affidavits have been called for, the allegation made in the writ petition is deemed to be not admitted.

Interim order, if any, stands vacated.

All connected applications, if any, stand disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

All concerned parties shall act in terms of the copy of the order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent Photostat certified copy of the order, if applied for, be given to the parties on compliance of all necessary legal formalities.
