The petitioners claim to be the members of a SelfHelp Group. They seek to work as Cook-cumHelpers in any School. 2.

Learned advocate representing the private respondents submits that, the petitioners are not functioning as Cook-cum-Helper.

According to the report filed by the Block Development Officer, it appears that the petitioners were not engaged to function as Cookcum-Helper. 4.

The petitioners have made a representation before the Block Development Officer praying for allotting work in their favour as Cook-cum-Helper so that they can earn their livelihood.

The instant writ petition stands disposed of by directing the Block Development Officer, Jalangi Block, to consider the prayer of the petitioners for allotment of work as Cook-cum-Helper.

The formalities required for getting the work shall be made known to the petitioners. Subject to compliance of all necessary formalities, work may be allotted to the petitioners.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties, upon compliance of necessary formalities.
