WPA 15309 of 2024 (Dipanwita Dhar & Anr. vs. State of West Bengal & Ors.) Ms. Mohuya Dutta Biswas ... For the State The petitioners have approached this Court being aggrieved by the inaction on the part of the police authorities in respect of the complaint made with Tollygunge Police Station on or about 6th March, 2024. I have considered the record and I find more than 16 months have passed since such information was furnished. Accordingly, I direct that if the same inconvenience is faced by the petitioners, fresh representation be made before the police authorities. In case the police authorities do not respond, the petitioners shall be at liberty to approach the jurisdictional Magistrate under the relevant provisions of law.

Learned Magistrate shall assess and ascertain the said allegations and pass necessary directions as he may deem fit and proper.

As none appears for the State, Ms. Mohuya Dutta Biswas, learned advocate, who ordinarily appears on behalf of the State, is requested to appear for the State

in this matter. Her appointment will be regularized by the concerned authority.

With the aforesaid observations, the writ petition being W.P.A. 15309 of 2024 is disposed of.

All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.
