Petitioner is aggrieved by the fact that in spite of complaining to the Officer-in-Charge, Patrasayer Police Station, no action has been taken for illegal excavation of sand.

State has submitted a report prepared by the Officer-in-Charge, Patrasayer Police Station who has taken efforts for recording G.D. Entry and also sent requisition to the BL & LRO, Patrasayer for knowing the actual lease owner. However, prima facie, police authorities are of the opinion that the area complained of belongs to Galsi Police Station under Purba Bardhaman District.

Accordingly, petitioner will lodge complaint with the concerned Galsi Police Station. The said

police station will consider the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law.

With the aforesaid observations, WPA 15274 of 2024 is disposed of.

There will be no order as to costs.

Report submitted by the State be kept with the record.

A copy of the report be handed over to the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court.

Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties upon compliance of all requisite formalities.
