The petitioner submits that a time table has also been issued in his favour by the State Transport Authority, West Bengal, and that he is plying his vehicle strictly in accordance with the said time table.

It is alleged by the petitioner that respondent nos. 6 to 10 are illegally interfering with the operation of his vehicle. It is further submitted that if the petitioner is not permitted to operate his vehicle as per the approved time table, he may face consequences arising under Section 86 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988.

Learned advocate appearing for the State, however, submits that, upon enquiry, the police found that the

petitioner had flouted the time table issued by the State Transport Authority, West Bengal, while operating his vehicle.

Let the report filed by the State be kept with the records.

In view of the above, there is no justification to keep this writ petition pending.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of with the following directions:

The State Transport Authority, West Bengal, shall ensure that the petitioner operates his vehicle strictly on the route mentioned in the relevant permit and in accordance with the time table issued to him by the said authority.

It is made clear that the State Transport Authority, West Bengal, shall be at liberty to initiate appropriate proceedings against the petitioner in the event he violates the terms and conditions of the permit or deviates from the approved time table. Likewise, respondent nos. 6 to 10 shall also be dealt with in accordance with law if they are found to be interfering illegally with the petitioner's lawful operation of his vehicle.

Accordingly, WPA 14097 of 2025 stands disposed of.
