The grievance of the petitioner is that the payment on account of the work performed by the petitioner in accordance with the work order issued by the Executive Officer, Lalgola Panchayat Samity on 24th November, 2016 is yet to be fully disbursed.

A representation seeking the due amount is pending consideration at the end of the Panchayat Samity.

Learned advocate representing the State respondents has obtained instruction from the Block Development Officer, Lalgola Development Block mentioning that partial bills were disbursed in favour of the petitioner. Presently, the bills submitted by the petitioner are required to be verified and thereafter payment can be made.

The verification process may take some time to locate the old audited files and records.

The Executive Officer, Lalgola Panchayat Samity is directed to verify the records to ascertain as to whether due payment was made in favour of the petitioner or not.

The petitioner is directed to forward all documents in support of his claim to the aforesaid respondent at the time of communicating the order of the Court.

Steps shall be taken at the earliest but positively within a period of twelve weeks from the date of communication of this order.

If any amount is found due and payable, the same shall be released positively by three months thereafter.

Instruction forwarded by the Block Development Officer, Lalgola signed on 3rd August, 2023 be retained with the records.

The writ petition is thus disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
