Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner's innocuous prayer is a direction for consideration of the representation given by the petitioner to the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL).
Learned counsel appearing for the WBSEDCL contends that an inspection may be required for coming to a conclusion on the representation of the petitioner.
In view of the submissions made by the parties, WPA No. 14387 of 2022 is disposed of by directing the WBSEDCL authorities to consider the representation of the petitioner, which is annexed as Annexure- P2 at page 10 of the writ
petition, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within four weeks from date, upon giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and other interested parties and in accordance with law and to intimate the outcome to the petitioner expeditiously thereafter.
It is made clear that for the purpose of deciding on the representation of the petitioner, it will be open to the WBSEDCL authorities to conduct any sort of enquiry, including an inspection, if required.
There will be no order as to costs.
Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
