Affidavit of service filed on behalf of the petitioners and the report submitted by the State are taken on record. It appears from the statement of the private opposite party recorded under Section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure as well as the submission made on behalf of the parties that the dispute has been amicably settled between the parties and the private opposite party no.2/de facto complainant does not intend to proceed with the matter any further. In view of the above, proceeding with the case shall be a futile exercise.

The proceeding of GR case no. 26 of 2018 arising out of Bidhannagar North Police Station case no. 02 of 2018 dated 13th January, 2018 pending before the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Bidhannagar be quashed.

The accused/petitioners be released at once and discharged from their bail bonds.

With the aforesaid directions, the application, being CRR 2292 of 2024 is disposed of.
