Mr. Sourabh Guhathakurta Mr. Abhratanu Sarkar .....for the Petitioners. This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the defendants praying for a direction upon the learned Civil Judge (Sr. Division), 3rd Court, Howrah to dispose of the application filed by the petitioners under Section 5 read with Section 8 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 expeditiously.

From the order sheets appended to this civil revision application, this Court finds that the application under Section 5 read with Section 8 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed on July 15, 2024. Such an application requires to be disposed of expeditiously.

The learned advocate appearing for the petitioners submits that no date has been fixed for hearing of such application.

In the light of the submission made by the learned advocate for the petitioners, C. O. No.2290 of 2025 stands disposed of by requesting the learned Civil Judge (Sr. Division), 3rd Court, Howrah to fix a date for hearing of the application under Section 5 read with Section 8 of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 and to make an endeavour to dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
