Kutub Uddin .....For the State The petitioner seeks an expeditious disposal of the criminal proceeding being N-208 of 2019 pending before the learned Judge, Special Court (NDPS), 6th Court, Barasat, North 24Parganas. It has been submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that though the date for evidence has been fixed by the learned Judge in the Court below on many occasions, the recording of evidence has not yet started.

In this pandemic situation, it is not expected that the learned Judge in the Court below will proceed with the case at a normal pace.

However, keeping in mind the innocuous nature of the prayer, I dispose of this revisional application with a direction upon the learned Judge in the Court below to record the evidence as expeditiously as possible without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.

The application being CRR 1886 of 2021, is disposed of. All parties shall act upon the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. (Kausik Chanda, J.)
