The petitioner claims to be a senior citizen and a medical practitioner by profession. She alleges that the private respondents who are her family members are threatening her and trying to oust her from the subject premises.

A complaint was lodged before the New Alipore P. S. on 11th May, 2024 and allegation is that the police is not taking any steps in response to the said complaint.

Learned advocate representing the State respondents submits, upon instruction that, on receipt of the complaint filed by the petitioner, New Alipore PS Case No. 75 dated 10.06.2024 under Sections 341/506/509/34 IPC has been registered and investigation is in progress.

None represents the private respondents.

Affidavit-of-service filed in Court today is taken on record.

As it appears from the submission made on behalf of the parties that the police has already registered the First Information Report and has

mentioned that investigation of the case is in progress, accordingly, the police is directed to proceed with the investigation in accordance with law and to reach the same to its logical conclusion at the earliest. The Officer-in-Charge, New Alipore P.S. is directed to ensure that there is no breach of peace in the locale and the life and property of the petitioner is not infringed by any person whatsoever.

The writ petition stands disposed of.

Urgent certified photocopy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties expeditiously on compliance of usual legal formalities.
