This is an application pending since 2017. The instant application has been filed by the petitioners under Section 482 of the Criminal Procedure Code, 1973, seeking quashing of the proceedings being CS no. 0009291 of 2017 under sections 138/141 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 pending before the Court of the learned Magistrate, 19th Court at Calcutta including the order of cognizance (undated) and order dated 2.03.2017 passed in connection therewith. Even on earlier occasion no one represented the petitioners, no accommodation sought for.
However, today nobody appears on behalf of the petitioners on call, no accommodation sought for. It indicates that the petitioners have no more interest to proceed with the instant case.
Accordingly, CRR 1858 of 2017 is dismissed for default.
Interim order, if any, stands vacated.
