1. The learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent and they have been falsely implicated.

2. It appears that there is a longstanding dispute between the family members and there is case and counter-case between the parties.

3. The learned Counsel for the State in opposing the prayer for anticipatory bail, thus, referred to the injury reports and the statement of the witnesses recorded under Section 161 of the Cr.P.C.

4. Considering the materials available in the case diary, the nature of injury, medical reports and the nature and extent of complicity of the petitioners in the commission of the alleged Signed By :

offence, we are of the view that the custodial interrogation of the petitioners is not necessary.

5. Accordingly, we direct that in the event of arrest, the petitioners, namely, Ashalata Mandal, Anjana Biswas, Shubham Mondal and Arup Mondal, shall be released on bail upon furnishing a bond of Rs.10,000/- each, with two sureties of like amount each, one of whom must be local, to the satisfaction of the arresting officer and also subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 438(2) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973. It is further directed that the petitioner nos.3 and 4 shall meet the Investigating Officer once in a week till the submission of the final report and the petitioners shall appear before the learned District & Sessions Judge, Krishnanagar, Nadia in connection with G.R. Case No.2194 of 2024 and pray for regular bail within two weeks from date.

6. Accordingly, the application for anticipatory bail is disposed of.
