1. Learned counsel for the CESC Limited, at the outset, hands over a copy of an offer letter dated July 05, 2023 given to the petitioner. The same be kept on record. A copy thereof is also handed over to learned counsel for the petitioner.

2. In such view of the matter, the dispute raised in the writ petition does not survive.

3. Accordingly, WPA No. 14319 of 2023 is disposed of by directing the petitioner to act on the offer letter which has been handed over in court today and to the petitioner. Upon compliance of due formalities pursuant to the said offer letter and otherwise by the petitioner, the CESC Limited shall give the new electricity connection to the petitioner at the earliest, positively within a fortnight from the date of compliance of all such formalities by the petitioner.

4. There will be no order as to costs.

5. Urgent photostat certified copies of this order, if applied for, be made available to the parties upon compliance with the requisite formalities.
