The petitioners submit that their candidature stood rejected on the date of scrutinization of their testimonials as they mentioned incorrect registration numbers in the online application forms.

According to the petitioners they filed applications before the Secretary, West Bengal Board of Primary Education praying for correction of their registration numbers.

Though the learned advocate for the petitioners submits that the application for correction was made online but there is nothing on record to support the said contention.

The learned advocate for the respondents submits that the process of admission is over. The alleged

applications made by the petitioners are dated January 4, 2020, December 30, 2020 and December 31, 2020. The respondents deny that any application was filed by the petitioners praying for correction of the details in their online applications.

As there is no proof to show that the petitioners applied within the specified time or within a reasonable period of time for making necessary correction in the registration numbers which were inadvertently mentioned in the online application forms accordingly, no relief can be granted to the petitioners in the instant writ petition.

The writ petition fails and is hereby dismissed. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be given to the parties after completion of all legal formalities.
