The petitioner is an Assistant Teacher at Jodhpur Park Boys' School, Kolkata. An arrear salary to the tune of Rs.66,023/- (Rupees Sixty Six Thousand Twenty Three only) was accrued to him while he was serving as an Assistant Teacher at Hallyan High School (H.S.), District : Howrah. The petitioner is praying disbursement of the said amount.

Mr.

Basu Mallick, learned Additional Government Pleader submits that there is a confusion between the two the District Inspectors of Schools (S.E.) i.e. Kolkata and Howrah as to who is liable to pay the said amount.

To resolve the said confusion, the matter be placed before the Commissioner of School Education, Government of West Bengal, the respondent no.2 herein.

The said respondent to clarify the issue may ask the petitioner and the said two District Inspector of Schools to appear before him.

It is expected the respondent no. 3 shall fix the issue within a period of six weeks from the date of communication of this order.

W.P.A. 14329 of 2023 is disposed of with the above terms without any order as to costs. Since no affidavit has been invited, the allegations made in the said writ petition are deemed to have been denied by the respondents. Urgent photostat certified copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties subject to compliance with all requisite formalities.
