The petitioner seeks expeditious disposal of G.R.Case No. 1173 of 2017 pending before the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court, Barasat, North 24 Parganas primarily on the ground that he is being deprived of his retiral benefits due to pendency of the proceeding.

This Court is informed that charge was framed on January 15, 2020 and since then no witness has turned up before the learned Trial Court. The next date for evidence has been fixed on November 10, 2025.

Upon consideration of the submission made on behalf of the parties this Court directs the learned Judicial Magistrate, 1st Court, Barasat, North 24 Parganas to dispose of the proceeding being G.R.Case No. 1173 of 2017 pending before him within one year from the next date of hearing fixed before him without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either party, in accordance with law.

CRR No. 2311 of 2024 is disposed of accordingly. All parties shall act on the server copy of this order duly downloaded from the official website of this Court. Urgent certified website copy of this order, if applied for, be supplied to the parties upon compliance with all requisite formalities.
