Ms. Sukanya Bhattacharya is requested to appear for the State in this case. Let her appointment be regularised. The petitioner seeks an expeditious hearing of G.R. Case No. 524/2015 under Sections 341/509/114 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, pending before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 8th Court, Calcutta.

It is submitted by the learned advocate for the petitioner that the charge sheet has been filed in this case and cognizance has also been taken by the learned Magistrate.

It has been, further, submitted that an application was filed before the learned Magistrate in the Court below for the correction of the name of the father of the petitioner/de-facto complainant in the charge sheet. A report was called for from the police and the report had been filed. In spite of filing such report, the application for correction of the name has not yet been disposed of by the learned Magistrate in the Court below.

In view of the aforesaid fact, this application is disposed of with a direction upon the learned Metropolitan Magistrate in the Court below to finally dispose of the application filed by the petitioner for the correction of the name of the petitioner/de-facto complainant as appearing in the charge sheet within a period of two months from date by preponing the next date of hearing which was fixed on March 16, 2022.

After the disposal of the said application, the learned Magistrate shall make an endeavour to conclude the charge hearing within a period of three months from the date of such disposal, without granting any unnecessary adjournments to the either of the parties. With these observations, this revisional application being CRR 1902 of 2021 is disposed of.
